Comedian Eric Omondi Flies to Nigeria in Search of a Wife

Kenyan Comedian Eric Omondi Recently Flew to Nigeria In Search Of Women To Compete To Be His Wife In Season Three Of His Upcoming YouTube Reality Show Dubbed Wife Material.

Eric, the self-proclaimed President of Comedy Africa, announced his arrival through a video of him hanging out with several Nigerian ladies at a hotel in Lagos.

In the video, Eric said he would choose only three women out of the many. He added that he would return with them to Nairobi ahead of the Show premiere.

“Flew to Nigeria Lagos last night to go meet all my beautiful Nigerian contestants who sent videos. I will be flying back with 3 of them” Said Eric in the video.

Eric Omondi’s Wife Material Season Three

Six days ago, Eric announced on his social media that he was lonely and; was looking for a woman to complete him.

“My bed feels empty. I am dining alone because this seat is empty. I Eric Omondi, President of Comedy Africa, am looking for the first lady of Africa. Ethiopia, Rwanda, Nigeria, South Sudan and Kenya this is Wife Material” Said Eric Omondi in the promotional video of his show.

Eric then called upon ladies interested in him from Kenya, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Rwanda and South Sudan to send in videos and describe why they would make a good fit for him.

As soon as he announced this, several women from the mentioned countries by Eric sent in their videos explaining why he should select them.

According to Eric, all the selected will land in Nairobi on 18th October, and the show will begin on the 19th.

Eric’s Wife Material Season One

Eric Omondi started his Wife Material Reality Show in December last year with Kenyan contestants only.

Some of the beauties who appeared on the show include the Band Becca duo of Becky Sangolo and Carol Kamweru and young socialite Shakilla.

Eric asked Kenyans to vote for the winner, and Carol from Band Becca won the hearts of many and acquired the most votes.

Just as many thought that the comedian had found a wife, it turned out to be nothing but entertainment.

Eric’s Wife Material Season Two

Three months after airing Wife Material Season one, the comedian took to his social media to announce that he was searching for a wife again.

Netizens were confused by his announcement and questioned whether the comedian was genuinely looking for love; following the controversy season one.

Responding to this, Eric admitted that he was indeed looking for a wife and, even though he didn't find one in the first season, he hopes to find one in the second part of the show.

Unlike the first season, Eric expanded his search list and asked ladies from not only Kenya but also Tanzania and Uganda.

However, two weeks after the show started, Eric abruptly cancelled Season two and sent the ladies back to their respective countries.

The comedian announced its cancellation via his social media, along with an explanation and apology for his fans.

Why Wife Material Season Two Got Cancelled

Eric said that the show ended because one of the contestants went rogue creating an unfavourable environment for production.

Eric did not point fingers or mention who the rowdy person was. However, the announcement was made a few hours after a video of Giggy Money from Tanzania attacking Nadia from Ugandan went viral.

In the video, Nadia called out the Tanzanian vixen for constantly attacking and insulting her for no reason.

Seeing that the first two seasons were for entertainment, we hope Eric Omondi is searching for a real wife this time around.
