“Chantal got a job with Emirates. So when you get a job with Emirates you have to go to Dubai for eight months. Chantal tells the mother who is a very good friend of mine. So, one of the relatives was like, sasa unaenda Dubai utamwacha bwana wako na nani for eight months (who will you leave your husband with for 8 months)”

“So she calls me and she tells me, my aunt tells me I can’t go to Dubai, nitamuacha bwana wangu na nani (who will I leave my husband with). Chantal calls me and says babe what do I do? I am being called from Dubai” said Eric during the interview.

Eric added that he advised Chantal to take up the job opportunity in Dubai despite the advice she got from her relative.

Chantal’s Response to Eric

It seems like Chantal got wind of this conversation and was displeased because she responded through her Instagram in a lengthy post.

In the post, Chantal said that whatever the comedian said about her and her family was false.

“I want to clear my name from this madness, there are things said about me at some latest interviews that are not true regarding my family and I” Chantal stated.

Chantal also said that she is not a clout chaser, and she does not appreciate the rumours. She added that she has never publicly addressed her relationship with the comedian because their separation was amicable.

“I am not all about fake clout chasing, I have been silent and never spoken all along regarding my previous relationship with Eric, we left each other in good terms as adults” She added.

She added that those calling her and questioning her about the content from the interview should stop because she has other things to do.

“I have been approached by many people asking about false information said on my behalf out there. Please I have my own life and my own businesses to concentrate on peacefully” She concluded.

Eric’s Statement After their Separation

“Whenever she jetted into Kenya, she always came to visit me. With her tourist visa, she cannot work in the country. And, she recently asked me if I can allow her to permanently stay in Italy and get formal employment there. And because I had seen her stay in my house doing nothing meaningful, I saw it wise to grant her request” he said.

Judging by his first explanation about the reason for their separation, his recent interview contradicts everything.
