Singer Harmonize Exposes Diamond Platnumz and his struggles while at Wasafi Record Label

Harmonize Reveals Issues with Management

Harmonize said that the label practiced favoritism, and the management was very selective on the projects of the different signees.

Harmonize further explained that he contacted management and told them that he was unhappy with their operations, but; they ignored his concerns.

He said that when he approached the mother of Diamond to air out his concerns but she ignored him too.

"Nikamfuata mama yake Nasib, mama Dangote, nikamueleza kuwa kuna vitu siridhiki navyo. Kumbe nilivyoenda kwa mama Dangote kumuelezea, alikuwa ananichora tu huku, moyoni ameshaweka ‘unataka kumpita mwanangu’ said Harmonize.

Translation: "I followed Nasib's mother, Dangote's mother, and told her that there were things I was not happy about. But when I went to Dangote's mother to tell her, she was just ignoring me and in her heart, she thought 'you want to pass my son'.

Harmonize said there were always disputes amongst members of the label, and he felt sidelined. He added that he even approached Diamond and asked him what the exact issue was, but; he got no response.

Translation: "Even at the label it seemed like I was isolated. So, I followed him and asked him (Diamond) bro tell me what the problem is, he did not tell me. But there were new problems all the time"

Harmonize also disclosed that the label once gave him $5000 for his trip to Nigeria for a collaboration; with Burnaboy. He said that was a lot of money, and it would have helped the other artists at the label.

Translation: "Once I was told, I went to Nigeria and did a collaboration with a Nigerian artist and that cost $ 5,000. When you change that amount it becomes Sh 12 million. I am a poor child, that money could have helped many people behind me"

Harmonize also disclosed another instance where the management asked him to pay ten thousand US dollars after Burnaboy had invited him for a show in Rwanda.

Translation, "Burna Boy went to Rwanda, he called me to go and perform, I was on the label and I checked with the management and told them. They told me if I wanted to go I had to pay $ 10,000. I said no problem, I went but I did not perform"

Harmonize further revealed that he left WCB because Diamond never appreciates artists who become more influential than him.

“Yeye akikutengenezea uadui, mashabiki wake wote wanakukataa na kisj unapotea. Wasanii wote ambao wamegombana na Diamond, wanafanya hivyo wanapoanza kushine. Wote ambao wamehit Tanzania lazima wamegombana na Diamond" said Harmonize.

Translation: "If he makes you an enemy, all his fans will reject you and you will lose. All the artists who have clashed with Diamond, do so when they start to shine ”

Harmonize left WCB to start up his record label. Since his departure, there has been tension between him and Diamond Platnumz.

Diamond Throws Shade at Harmonize

Three days ago, Diamond took a subliminal dig at Harmonize while celebrating Rayvanny’s performance at the MTV EMA awards show; in Hungary.

Diamond shared a post on his Instagram and praised Rayvanny for being the first African to perform at the award show. He also revealed that he was proud of Rayvanny and the efforts he has made in his career.

In the same post, Diamond advised upcoming musicians to appreciate those who help them. He also added that they should be disciplined and focus on their craft and avoid taking drugs.

Harmonize Claps Back at Diamond

Harmonize got a hold of the subliminal message that Diamond directed at him, and he responded with a statement on his Insta-stories.

Harmonize said that people should learn to help others without expecting favors in return. He said that if he were to return favors, then he owes all Tanzanians.

"Vijana nivyema kujifunza ukimsaidia mtu sio lazima umdai fadhira. Maana kama ndio hivyo basi Tanzania yote inanidai pia"

Translation: "Young people, it is good to learn that if you help someone, you do not have to demand favors. If that is the case then I owe the whole of Tanzania as well"

Harmonize Accuses Diamond of Taking Drugs

Harmonize also insinuated that Diamond started taking hardcore drugs after receiving the 600 million pay-out from him; when he left the label.

In the same statement, Harmonize also advised the youth to know the difference between drugs and hardcore substances.

Translation, "Once you received the 600M million shillings, you started inhaling flour (drugs) and it is about to run out, so it is best to ask for it or claim the favor. Also, young people should try to distinguish what is dangerous between drugs and the powder (drugs) that makes them thinner"
