The Kenyan TV host revealed that she had been struggling with depression and anxiety since she was 14. In an interview on Radio Jambo, Joey said that she would often run away from school, and it took her long to settle.

During an interview with the Unwritten Magazine in 2019, Joey revealed that she got depressed after finding out that her high school sweetheart had gotten married. She added that the depression made her suicidal.

Annie Idibia

While celebrating her 37th birthday this month, Annie Idibia confessed that she contemplated committing suicide following her marital issues.

In her birthday post, Annie said that the past ten weeks were hard for her after exposing her husband online and accusing him of cheating on her with his first baby mother.

She added that she let her family down with behavior and embarrassed her husband. She also said that she was regretful for her actions because they disgraced her family and in-laws.

On many occasions, Maureen Waititu has confessed to being suicidal. The YouTuber said that she sunk into depression after breaking up with the father of her children, Frankie Kiarie and contemplated taking her life twice. However, she did not go through with it because of her sons, Lexy and Kai.

She said her first attempt was when she was 14. She swallowed a concoction of 18 pills.

Grace added that her second attempt was when she was in Form three she said that she took 35 pills because the 18 pills he had taken while in primary school did not work.

Anita Raey

The Hot 96 presenter disclosed that she sunk into depression after a rape ordeal at Jeevanjee Gardens; during an interview with Pulse live.

Anita said that the ordeal changed her life, she started smoking weed, and she became suicidal. She revealed that she tried taking her life five times but later realized it wasn't worth it.
